The Best Hair Care Products For Winter

For the past 15 years, I’ve learned that the weather influences your hair’s state.

Even if it’s straight, curly, short, or coarse, your hair will react to your climatic circumstances, just like your skin.

After spending my whole life living in an extremely humid climate, I have seen my hair change drastically while living in New York. Having very fine-thin hair, it can be challenging learning how to take care of it.

As of now in the cold winter of NYC, my hair is always straight, which means it won’t hold on to curls, and it won’t stay still because of the amount of static.

I also noticed that my hair was very dry especially on the ends, which I had to trim after a while. For this, I knew I had to look for products and ingredients that promote moisture, hydration and protection for my hair during the extreme climate changes.

Here are the products that I’ve been loving and using to clean, moisture, style and protect my hair:

Briogeo Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo $42 – This shampoo deeply cleanses your scalp and detoxifies it with the combination of charcoal and coconut oil. It’s a scrub for your head, and boy does it feel good! I use this 2 a week.
Briogeo Deep Conditioning Mask $42 – A 2 in one for your hair routine, serving as a conditioner and a mask for a weekly treatment. It deeply moisturizes my hair bringing back the hydration lost during these dry and cold winter months.
Organic Coconut Milk Conditioner $8 – Another great and affordable option for a conditioner that deeply nourishes your strands. I love how silky and soft it leaves my hair after my shampoo and the smell is incredible.
Aveeda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair $30 – This leave in hair treatment protects your strands against all kinds of extreme climate changes, especially from heat. It’s a great protectant before heat styling your hair.
Ouai Hail Oil $28 – This oil is perfect for a nourished and non greasy texture for your hair while treating it and protecting it.

I hope this helps you to have a better look at the ingredients you should have in your hair care routine.

Don’t forget to share this post and comment which is your favorite hair product. If you’ve tried any of these, what was your experience?
