Getting up with the Instagram game is certainly not a simple task. It takes a few steps to achieve a high quality picture that can capture the audience’s attention.
It took me months of practice and research on how to get the best pose, lighting, and props to create beautiful content. I was inspired by other incredible bloggers like Marianna Hewit and Jenni Cipolleti from Margo & Me, to learn tips like how to develop a pattern on your feed, to create uniformity, and how to choose a color pallet that defines your style.
Sometimes, having a good camera isn’t enough to create great pics, and most of the editing programs can be quite expensive, especially if you’re on a budget. Luckily, I’ve discovered a few apps that make my life easier and let me create professional photography content that’s totally Instagram worthy, and best of all, they’re free!
Snapseed is an app from google. It’s great for cleaning and defining the image, working similar to Photoshop. Some of the features included are brightness, structure, contrast, portrait and healing, which eliminates unwanted objects on the image.
Forget VSCO, this app has some of the best filters ever. What I love about this app, besides the variety of filters and editing tools, is that with just a swap, you can have a preview of how your Instagram feed will look, making the publication planning so much easier.
This Adobe app is great for creating Insta Stories your audience wont skip. It implements dynamic special effects, a variety of fonts, and templates to play with. In addition to that, it’s very easy to save and share your work.
This app is another option for cool filters and editing tools. It’s also available for desktop, for those of you who prefer editing this way.
These apps can save you time and money, letting you express your creativity on a very low cost.
Let me know if you’ve tried any of these and what are your thoughts.
