Working at home may seem like the ultimate job goal, but it can easily trap you into procrastinating and not working as effective as when working elsewhere, like the office.
This quarantine has obligated us to be more creative and to think outside the box of our regular routines when it comes to creating content of any sort. It may become more difficult to work at home, being surrounded by our bed and comfort zone, but the good news is there are ways to help us stay motivated and productive.
Here are 5 tips to help you feel more in the “work zone”:
Wake up early
Just because you work from home doesn’t mean you’re on vacation and don’t need to time manage your work. Waking up early and setting up a time for every task will help you stay focused and set your goals.
Dress as if you are headed to a meeting or the office. This sets the mood for you to feel like you have to have something done.
A little makeup never hurt no one
As well as getting dressed, also add a little makeup to pump up your mood and really get you out of bed. Feeling good about how we look can set the tone for our entire day.
Organize your thoughts
Grab a journal and write down all your goals and tasks of the day in order of importance. Also write down anything you have in mind to get your creative side flowing.
Set a calendar
Take yourself seriously. Create a calendar with all your different work jobs and set up a time for each of them, this way it keeps you updated and motivated to get them all done.
