Wow! I can’t believe I’m living this stage.
I have dreamed about this day for so long, especially having a wonderful partner by my side.
Seba and I met 5 and a half years ago. We were very young at the time, which has been a gift for us, seeing our growth together as individuals and as a couple has made us inseparable.
Although I knew the day was near to come, I was very surprised the way he planned the whole proposal.
It was a very cold and windy day in NYC and Sebastián was visiting from Puerto Rico. He was very anxious to see Central Park and every part of New York, since it was his first time there. I wasn’t motivated to get out of the apartment at all. But he insisted.
Still, I wanted to do a few errands before leaving and he was very patient with me (LOL). We went grocery shopping, did some laundry and of course, had to make pancakes for brunch.
After all of that, we finally left the apartment at 3pm. When we arrived at Central Park, we started looking for spots to take pictures. We stopped at this amazing spot with a gorgeous view.
After he asked me to pose, the funny thing was I hesitated to pose the way he wanted me to because I was worried about the lighting, and he was trying to get on his knee (LOL).
Finally, after I agreed to go with the flow, I turn around and there he is, on one knee and asked me to marry him. I jumped of excitement and joy! And I couldn’t stop smiling for the rest of the day.
But my surprise didn’t end there. When I look I see my roommates recording the moment with the photographer that helps me develop content, and my parents on FaceTime.
I couldn’t help it, I was living an abundance of joy.
We couldn’t wait to tell our families and loved ones and called everybody. It was a wonderful day.
I feel overwhelmed with joy, but also nervous and excited to share this next stage in life with the person I’ve loved for years, who’s not only my partner, but also my lover and friend.
I feel so incredibly blessed by all of your love and good wishes with the announcement. Thank you for your unconditional support.
